Julia's Cruise Corner: Personal Views From My Sun lounger
🎥 Julia’s Cruise Corner: My Take on Celebrity Cruises
I’ve sailed with Celebrity multiple times, and honestly, it’s up there as one of my favourite cruise lines. In my opinion, it sits in the upper echelons of the big mainstream brands — a space where style meets sophistication. That comes with its own pros and cons.
If you’re after a family holiday packed with waterslides, go-karts and splash zones, this might not be the line for you. While Celebrity does have kids’ clubs, it’s very much designed with adults in mind. Think boutique hotel vibes at sea rather than floating theme park.
Now let’s talk food — exceptional. Not just in the speciality restaurants, but even in the main dining room. They really do set the bar high. If you get a chance, try one of the experiential dining venues like Eden, where performance and cuisine combine for something truly unique.
Although Celebrity is considered a large ship line, it never feels overcrowded. The space-to-guest ratio is generous, and everything is styled with intention — more about atmosphere and elegance than cramming in features.
I’d recommend Celebrity for couples, solo travellers, small groups, and LGBTQ+ guests looking for something a little more refined than your average cruise experience.
