🎥 Julia’s Cruise Corner: My View from the Sunlounger

I have to say, NCL surprised me — in a good way. I wasn’t sure if the “freestyle” thing would feel chaotic or just gimmicky, but actually? It was so refreshing.

I love dressing up when I want to, and NCL gives you the freedom to do just that — or not at all. The food was great, the entertainment was top-tier (honestly, Six was better than when I saw it in London), and the vibe was modern without being over-the-top.

The solo cabins are a brilliant idea — no more paying double if you’re cruising alone. And The Haven? If you can stretch the budget, it’s a proper sanctuary with stunning extras.

It’s not the most luxurious line, but it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s fun, relaxed, and perfect for independent-minded travellers, groups who want space to do their own thing, and people who like a little bit of everything without the rules.

All opinions in Julia’s Corner are based on my own experience — from the sunlounger to the ship’s theatre. I might not always be right, but I am almost always honest. 😉
